The salt content of Pure pasta is based exclusively on naturally occurring sodium. As no extra salt or sugar is added to the pasta dough, it contains less than 1% of salt and sugar. The pasta can be cooked in unsalted water; for people who are not used to doing so, we recommend gradually reducing the amount of added salt – in just a few weeks, your taste buds will completely adapt to the lower salt content.
No Added Salt or Sugar
Another reason why Pure pasta took several years to develop is that we insisted on completely avoiding all colourants, aromas and E-numbers. The pasta has a natural colour, while its firm texture is achieved through a drying process that was developed especially for this purpose.
No Soya or GMO
EU requires producers to label any ingredient that contains more than 0.1% of genetically modified organisms. Most products with the GMO label contain soya. Pure pasta contains no soya or other GMOs. Because it is soya-free, the pasta is also popular with consumers who have ethical or health concerns about soya.
